01 · Welcome

Welcome to the table

You do not need to know every rule, own a shelf of books, or arrive with a fully formed character. You only need curiosity, consideration for the other players, and a willingness to help make the story move.

Momentum Dice Club is built around collaborative adventures. That means the game belongs to everyone at the table. The Game Master brings a world in motion; the players bring people worth following. Together, we discover what happens next.

This guide covers the practical basics. More importantly, it introduces the spirit of the table: generous play, clear communication, and choices that give the whole group something interesting to respond to.

02 · The experience

What to expect

Our games balance character-driven storytelling, meaningful choices, tactical challenges, and room for the unexpected. Some sessions will be tense. Some will be heartfelt. A surprising number will become funny in ways nobody planned.

01

Shared spotlight

Everyone gets room to make choices, reveal character, and affect the story.

02

Meaningful choices

Your decisions matter. The world responds, and the campaign changes with you.

03

Open communication

Questions are welcome. Boundaries are respected. Nobody has to guess in silence.

03 · Preparation

Before session zero

Session zero is where we shape the campaign together. Before we meet, complete these few steps. They give us more time to talk about characters, connections, and the kind of adventure we want to share.

  3. 03

Bring a character idea, not a finished sheet

A simple desire, archetype, or compelling question is enough to begin.

04 · On the day

What to bring

Keep it simple. Whether we meet online or around a physical table, the essentials are the same: arrive ready to participate and able to focus on the people with you.

Essential

Your character

A concept or completed sheet, depending on where we are in the campaign.

Essential

A clear setup

Working audio, a charged device, and a quiet enough space to hear the table.

Useful

Something to note with

Paper, a notes app, or whatever helps you remember names and ideas.

Most important

Curiosity

Bring questions, make bold choices, and stay interested in the other characters.

05 · Around the table

Our table culture

We aim for a table that is focused without being formal, emotionally open without demanding performance, and ambitious about the story without putting pressure on any one person to carry it.

  • Make room.Notice who has not spoken and invite ideas without putting anyone on the spot.
  • Build forward.Give other players choices and hooks they can respond to.
  • Be a fan.Celebrate complications, character moments, and somebody else’s excellent idea.
  • Speak plainly.Ask for clarification, name discomfort, and distinguish player intent from character intent.

Your next steps

That is the foundation. Next, get your tools ready and begin shaping a character who is connected to the campaign and ready to care about the other adventurers.
